Flying high, a blur of color blew past the gates of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. At nigh on breakneck speed, the woman on the broom was understandably clinging to it like a drowning person. Now, past the gates, the speed fell away quickly, and Marisa Kirisame grinned to herself. Flying in an open window, she dodged in and out of the fairy maids, most of whom simply sighed and continued to clean. The Head Maid was nowhere in sight as she approached the library. . . But something else caught her eye. A staircase, leading down into an area she had never been in. Or, if she had been in it, it had slipped her mind. Curiosity got the better of her. She hopped off her broom and headed down the stairs, carefully watching for the Head Maid. The door opened at the slightest touch of her finger, and it deposited her into a very strange room with a single window. She peered through it, into what she took to be the next room. She recoiled. Her eyes had taken in almost an exact carbon copy of the room she was in, but the next room was covered in blood. It was everywhere, dried and caked and thick. The door behind her had closed, and she cursed softly. No way to go but forward. She pushed on, resolutely not looking at the bloody room, and opening the next door without even looking where she was going.

"Kyuu!" came a voice. As Marisa poked her head through the doorway, she was spattered by blood and various internal organs. A headless corpse fell to the ground in front of the witch.
A little girl in a red dress sat giggling in the middle of yet another blood-covered room, identical to the previous one. Her odd wings, consisting of what looked like iron and dangling crystals, spread out behind her. It was impossible to tell if the dress was originally red or if the blood had stained it that color.

And for the second time, the witch recoiled, her foot catching in the blood. She nearly fell, but stabilized with her broom. What the hell was Remilia keeping in her basement? God. . . Marisa backed up, pressing a hand to the doorknob. Of course, it was locked, and she cursed quietly, forgetting where she was.
Her eyes widened as the young girl rounded on her. She checked for her Mini-Hakkero, before chancing a few words. "Da-ze. . . What the hell was that?"

"Oh, no!" the girl cried, her eyes wide with horror. "You said a naughty word! Only bad girls use naughty words! Sakuya-chan said so! Are you a bad girl?" She giggled again. "They say bad girls are the ones you can eat...wait! Are you a human?" The gore-covered maiden stared at Marisa in wonder.

Marisa chose her words carefully; her tone suggested she was threading a minefield as she flicked away a bit of gore with her broom. "Uh yeah, I am. Human, that is, ze," she blinked as she took in the spectacle. Again, she tested the doorknob. Still locked.

The girl titled her head and licked her lips. "You know, I've never seen a human before....unless of course they were food or drink."

Marisa pulled a face. Her Hakkero began to whir. "Yeah, well, about that, see, us humans don't like being eaten. So I'll just be letting myself out."

The girl made a face. "No! Don't go! Uh, how about we play a game?"

"A game? What kind of game?" Marisa asked, shaking her Hakkero imperceptibly behind her.

Let's make patterns! Wanna play Danmaku?" The little girl looked at the witch expectantly.

A grin passed along Marisa's face. Checking her broom once over, and placing her Hakkero back into her pocket, she chuckled. "Sure thing, kid. I can entertain you for a bit."

The little girl smiled, showing pointed upper canines. "Let's play!"
She leapt backwards, the crystals glowing as she levitated. There was a flash of flame, and a staff appeared in her hands. She raised its spade-like tip and four small, winged balls of light flew out and situated themselves in the four corners of the room. They began to shoot trails of magical spheres at the witch.
"Aoi kotori...I wonder if it'll fall into my cranberry trap?" She giggled devilishly.

Marisa hopped onto her broom and wove in and out of the magic spheres. As she did so, her fingers traced a pattern in the air, and she grinned as two orbs appeared by her. Two bright lasers appeared, and strange arrowhead like danmaku flew towards Flandre as she wove.

The girl easily flitted out of their path. She grinned as her staff began to glow. She lifted it up, and brought it swinging back down. A huge beam of power shot out of the tip, blasting a flaming hole in the floor and leaving a trail of red-hot sparks behind it. She began to swing it at Marisa again.

Marisa paused, and the spear came down hard on her. The Hakkero pinged softly as she bolted out of the spear's path, grinning as the smoke obscured her for a split moment. Then, she threw up her Hakkero, and it clung to the tail of her broom. Standing up, she whirled around Flandre, settling on the other side of the room. All the places she had flown through had stars flying in them now, and those stars flew at Flandre.
